- Is this invoice generator really free?
- Yes. You can create and download up to 3 invoices per month for free, with no account required. The monthly limit is shown on the page before you start — you'll never hit a surprise wall.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. The free invoice generator works with no sign-up. You fill in the form and download the PDF directly in your browser.
- Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?
- No. The invoice is built entirely in your browser and the PDF is generated on your device. Your business details, your client's details, and your logo are never sent to a server.
- Where is my invoice saved?
- Your current draft is saved in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. It stays on your device; clearing your browser data removes it.
- Can I add my company logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG (up to 2 MB) and it appears on the invoice and in the downloaded PDF. Like everything else, the image stays in your browser.
- Which currencies are supported?
- You can pick from major currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, CHF, JPY, and BRL. Amounts and totals are formatted for the currency you choose.
- How is tax calculated?
- Enter a single tax rate as a percentage. It's applied to the subtotal of all line items, and the tax amount and grand total are shown on the invoice.
- What's the difference between free and Pro?
- Free covers 3 invoices per month and adds a small "Made with tavo.tools" footer to the PDF. Tavo Pro (coming soon) will add saved clients and reusable templates, unlimited invoices, and remove the footer. Billing isn't enabled yet.
- Can I use these invoices with clients and for accounting?
- Yes. The PDF includes your details, your client's details, itemized lines, tax, totals, dates, and an invoice number — the fields most businesses and bookkeepers expect. Check your local requirements for anything specific to your jurisdiction.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes. The form and live preview work in any modern browser, and the PDF downloads the same way on phones, tablets, and desktops.
